There is something profoundly hopeful about watching people discover they are capable of more than they ever imagined.
That's what I get to witness every Wednesday night.
The Art for People's Sake Theatre Choir isn't just a choir. Every song becomes its own little piece of theatre, woven together with singing, movement and storytelling. But what moves me most isn't what happens on stage. It's what happens in the people.
Week after week I've watched ordinary humans find confidence they didn't know they had, take creative risks they never thought they'd take, and discover voices they weren't sure deserved to be heard.
In many ways, they are What Grows in the Dark.
They remind me that becoming isn't reserved for artists or performers. It belongs to all of us. Sometimes all it takes is a room full of people who believe in one another enough to keep showing up.
The choir will be joining us during the evening. I can't wait for you to meet them.
