Story

There are seasons in life when retreat feels safer than participation. When fear, grief or uncertainty ask us to make ourselves smaller. During these times, saying yes is not a grand gesture. It is a quiet act of courage.

This work doesn't say that everything is beautiful. It doesn't ask us to ignore what is difficult or painful.

Instead, it offers a different invitation:

Even here, choose life.

Even here, choose movement.

Even here, choose yourself.

Emerging from a landscape of shadow, the lily becomes both witness and possibility. Accompanied by the words "To dance is to set the spirit free," the piece reflects on the liberating power of creativity, embodiment and self-trust. It honours the bravery required to remain open to joy, to continue growing, and to participate fully in our own becoming.
